On Feb 27, the immigration authorities in Saskatchewan issued 83 invitations targeted exclusively to seek Express Entry candidates. The Candidates needed a minimum score of 68 points only. All these EOI candidates receiving the invitation possessed the Educational Credential Assessment, which is a compulsory requirement in the provincial applications. The province also has a plan to hold one draw per month in the future. Saskatchewan has conducted nine draws in its EOI system. In the previous draw, held on Jan 16, 2019, 596 candidates received the invitations. 234 of these belonged to the Occupations In-Demand stream and 362 to the Express Entry Saskatchewan. Their lowest scores were 66 and 63 points.

Process for Saskatchewan EOI

1. Submitting the Expression Of Interest profile.
2. Entering the  candidate pool in EOI,
3. Selection of candidates.
4. ITA also issued through regular draws.
5. Candidates submit a complete application in a period of sixty days and finally
6. Program officials assess applications and take a decision.

The Requirements for the Occupation-In-Demand Sub-Category

• Scoring 60 points on the points assessment grid of the Program;
• Having the language score of CLB 4. Employers and regulatory bodies can also ask for a high score;
• Completing one year of post-secondary apprenticeship/training, or education, comparable to the Canadian education system. Obtaining a diploma or certificate or a degree is mandatory
• All Degrees/diplomas obtained outside the country must also have an ECA;
• One-year work experience during the last ten years in a field of education/training/ occupation, and also In an occupation in NOC A, B, 0 of the in-demand occupation list
• Obtaining the proper license in Saskatchewan if it is a so requirement in the field because the authorities will not process applications without the attachment of the license.
• Adequate proof of settlement funds accompanied by the settlement plan and finally
• Paying a $300 application fee online (non-refundable)

The Requirements for the Saskatchewan EE Sub-Category

• A profile in the EE Pool, a profile number and also the job-seeker validation code;
• The Score of 60 points on the points assessment grid of the Program;
• Passing a valid language test from a designated testing agency matching with the EE profile;
• Completing post-secondary education, apprenticeship/training for one year, comparable to the education system in the country. Earning a diploma or certificate or a degree is mandatory
• All Degrees/diplomas obtained outside the country must also have an ECA;
• One-year work experience in the last 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades);
• Two years of work experience in a skilled trade during the last five years; or
• One year of work experience in the country in the past three years (trades/non-trades) or
• Work experience in a top skilled occupation in NOC A, B, 0 included on the in-demand occupation list.
• Obtaining the proper license in the province when the profession is regulated or is a part of the skilled trade. For skilled trades, they need a certificate from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.
• Having adequate proof of settlement funds and also the settlement plan and finally
• Paying a $300 application fee online (non-refundable).
