On May 22 Saskatchewan conducted new draws using the Express Entry as well as Occupation In-Demand immigration categories. It issued 325 invitations to candidates seeking to apply for the provincial nomination to get the Canadian permanent residence. Saskatchewan has presently issued 814 invitations to attract the Express Entry aspirants, in 2019 that has a link with the Federal Express Entry system. Moreover, it has issued 854 invitations to attract the professionals in Occupation In-Demand sub-category.
Occupation In-Demand candidates
221 invitations were issued to Occupation In-Demand candidates. The candidates in Express Entry sub-category received 104.
Both these categories are major components of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program
, which permits the province in nominating economic immigration candidates who fulfill the particular labor needs of the province.

The streamlined approach
The Express Entry administers the pool of candidates for the categories of
- Federal Skilled Trades Class
- Federal Skilled Worker Class,

Such candidates, who succeed in Express Entry and get the provincial nomination, obtain 600 additional points in their Comprehensive Ranking System score, which takes them effectively ahead in the line to seek the invitation to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence from the Canadian Government.
The processing of PR applications, of the Candidates in the Occupation In-Demand sub-category, receiving the provincial nomination, happens outside the Express Entry system.
Moreover, to get the consideration under both the sub-categories, aspiring candidates have to register the Expression of Interest with the Saskatchewan Program.
All Eligible candidates also receive a score from 100 points that is based on skilled work experience, education, language proficiency and finally a connection with the Saskatchewan factors.
The top scoring candidates receive the invitation through a regular pool draw.
The least score for the candidates in Express Entry and in the Occupation In-Demand, receiving the invitation, in this draw was 82.
