Nova Scotia Express Entry

The Canadian Atlantic province of Nova Scotia will resume one of its most successful Express Entry associated Nova Scotia provincial nomination categories on Saturday, Nov 17, at 9 a.m. Atlantic Standard Time for a maximum of 225 applications.

This category is notably popular with qualified applicants in the system of Express Entry because of it:

  • Presents successful applicants with a provincial nomination and an extra 600 ranking points, effectively ensuring an invitation to apply for Canada PR.
  • Does not need a Canada job offer or work experience in Canada.
  • Has no least score CRS (Comprehensive Ranking Score) requirement.

This category is purely on first-come, first served basis and identified as Category B of the Stream Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry, typically reaches its intake limit instantly. When in the last time it started on first half of Apr 28, 2018, it attained its quota and finished to new appeals in that afternoon.

Nova Scotia’s Immigration Office typically only provides approximately 24 hours notice that this stream will resume to applications. In the case of the Nove 17 intake, the notice was only given on the morning of Nov 16.

For this purpose, it is always a great idea to be prepared and has the documents that are required to appeal in hand so you can act instantly if and when Category B resumes.
