Nova Scotia Immigration Announced It’s Biggest Entrepreneur Draw

Nova Scotia immigration has declared the latest draws details below its International Graduate Entrepreneur and Entrepreneur streams. The Entrepreneur draw was the biggest on record, with 43 applicants issued with ITA for immigration to Nova Scotia. The least-ranked applicant scored 109 points.

The early draw, on August 7, 2018, observed 32 Invitations to Apply announced and the least score of 116 for the lowest-ranked applicant. Earlier, the biggest invitations number from a monthly Entrepreneur draw was 36, while the weakest minimum score continues at 90.

The stream of Nova Scotia Entrepreneur aims applicants with business ownership or experience in senior management. They should live in the province of Nova Scotia, either begin the latest business or purchase an existing business, and actively engage in the day-to-day business management.

Under the Entrepreneur stream, applicants have first issued a temporary work permit prior to applying for PR after running the business for a year. The stream utilizes an Expression of Interest format, where applicants in a pool are encouraged to apply.

Candidate Requirements for Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream

  • The age must be 21 or older.
  • Aspire to live permanently in the province of Nova Scotia while maintaining and actively maintaining a Nova Scotia business.
  • The least net worth of CAD 600,000.
  • Least investment of CAD 150,000 to build or purchase a Nova Scotia
  • At least 3 years experience in actively running and owning a business (minimum ownership percentage is 33) OR more than five years of experience in a senior business management role.
  • Score at least of 5 on the Canadian Language Benchmark in speaking, reading, listening, and writing in French or English.
