The immigration authorities in Manitoba conducted the third draw for the year and issued 444 Letters of Advice to Apply to the candidates in three streams. After the Feb 15 draw the province passed the limit of 1,500 Letters for 2019. Additionally, the candidates in the HCP of the SWO stream received 268 LAAs with a score of 570 points.

The requirements:

Having a valid EE ID and job-seeker validation code, with an experience of six months  in a job on the In-demand Occupations list of Manitoba or
  • They must Have  a close relative or education/work experience
  • Also, Having six months of experience recently in a job on the In-demand Occupations list .

Meeting the minimum requirements in language

Details The Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream had 120 candidates receiving Letters with a score of 574 points. Additionally, in the International Education Stream, 34 candidates received LAAs and there is no minimum score in it. Furthermore, 22 candidates received the invitation in Strategic Recruitment Initiative of the SWO stream. Here the minimum score was 726 points. Furthermore, the SRI is limited to candidates who receive the invitation for fulfilling a specific requirement of the labor market.

The previous draw was held on Jan 31, and 456 candidates receivedthe ITA . The HCP of the SWO stream received 299 LAAs with a score of 572. 124 candidates received LAAs in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, for a minimum score of 575 points. Also,  17 candidates received LAAs in the IES for which there is no minimum point requirement. 16 candidates received invitation in the SRI, with a low score of 705 points.

Qualifying For the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream This Stream is based on the requirements of the provincial employers. Moreover, it selects trained workers from a foreign area having necessary skills. Furthermore, it nominates them to seek the permanent residence in Canada.  The stream also gives a priority to such candidates who have an  attachment with Manitoba.
  1. a) Manitoba Work Experience Pathway
This caters to the applicants presently working on a temporary work permit, by using the TFWP or as overseas graduates from a province. Candidates need not work in a top Demand Occupation.
  1. b) Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway
This caters to the overseas applicants with job offers from an approved local employer.

Qualifying For the SWO Stream

This Stream has a Canada EE Pathway and a direct provincial pathway.
It aims to attract global skilled workers having  training/skills  to do a top Demand Occupation. The stream also gives a priority to such candidates who have spouses and close  connections of family, and also possess proficiency in the language, besides training/experience in finding a job quickly.
  1. a) Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
This Stream caters to overseas candidates eligible in another MPNP stream, who meet EE criteria and also have an active EE profile. Candidates must have the experience, skills,  and training  in a top Demand Occupation, and also a  strong family connection with the province.
  1. b) Human Capital Pathway
It aims to attract global skilled workers having skills, training and experience to do a top Demand Occupation. These Candidates must show the promise in  finding an employment,  after they arrive in the province quickly.

The Requirements

This Stream is dedicated to global graduates of Manitoba colleges/universities. The candidates do not require to work for six months in a field prior to applying for an Manitoba nomination. 1) Career Employment Pathway 

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Completing one-year course from an eligible post-secondary institution within three years of submitting the application,
  • Having a full-time job offer in a top Demand job  related to the degree and finally,
  • Being a Resident of Manitoba
2) Graduate Internship Pathway Candidates holding Master’s and Doctoral degree who complete  Elevate /Mitacs Accelerate internships can submit the nomination application through internships even when they do not have a job offer. 3) Student Entrepreneur Pathway

Eligibility requirements:

  • Completing two-year course from a post-secondary Manitoba institution
  • Business operation experience of Six months
  • Resident of province after graduation and finally,
  • There is no specific requirement regarding personal net-worth
