Minimum scores for global graduates declined in the recent Provincial Nominee Program of British Columbia Draw held on Feb 12.  356 candidates in five provincial streams received invitations seeking the British Columbia immigration.

International graduates in the Express Entry and direct provincial streams had to score 94 points. The requirement for skilled workers in both pathways was 85 points. Finally, for the entry-level/semi-skilled workers, it was only 67 points.

Moreover, in the previous draw, British Columbia targeted technology workers belonging to 29 occupations. In its Feb 5 draw 32 candidates received the invitations in the Tech Pilot. It gives a priority to IT occupations through immigration streams. Skilled workers of the direct provincial and EE streams required a score of 85 points to qualify. Internationals graduates needed 95 points.

The British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot received the extension till 2019 after it was launched in 2017. It presently has 29 target occupations with a relaxed set of duration requirements. Moreover, this Program aims specifically to attract technology workers. The province has a flourishing technology industry.

Furthermore, the provincial nomination assures selection in Express Entry, through the addition of 600 points in CRS. The Program informs the necessary scores to guarantee to obtain the invitation for immigration in its programs. This score for the overseas graduate is 30 points lower than the limit for skilled workers in the EE and provincial streams. It is still low for semi-skilled/ entry-level workers,
