The British Columbia PNP Draw issued 356 invitations to apply in the Skills Immigration and Express Entry draw, held on January 30. The beneficiaries were entrepreneurs’, skilled workers, and graduates.
The first step in the process of immigration in the British Columbia PNP Express Entry categories is to register a profile in the federal EE system. It also has the task to manage the pool of candidates for three Federal immigration programs. These are:
- Canadian Experience Class
- The Federal Skilled Worker Class, and finally
- Federal Skilled Trades Class
All EE candidates who apply to seek the provincial nomination and also receive the Canada Permanent Residence, by using the EE British Columbia Stream, get 600 additional points in their CRS score. IRCC does The processing of applications seeking permanent residence in Canada for Skills Immigration candidates who apply to seek the provincial nomination, outside the EE system.
19 invitations were issued in the Entrepreneur Immigration to candidates who had a score of 109. The stream caters to entrepreneurs who possess a personal net worth of CAD $600,000. They need to have an experience in business or management, and also have eligibility for getting the legal immigration status in the country. Additionally, they have to meet other requirements that are specific to the program.
Candidates receiving an invitation in
- The Skilled Workers,
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, and finally in
- International Graduate categories must register under the Skills Immigration Registration System of the provincial Program.
This will be consequent to completing a profile in the PNP online system. SIRS is a system based on points in the use of British Columbia PNP. Additionally, it evaluates candidates depending on work experience, education, and language proficiency factors. All these candidates receiving the invitation must also possess an indeterminate, full-time job offer with a provincial employer.
