British Columbia conducted a new draw for the Provincial Nominee Program on May 7. Additionally, it issued 187 invitations to applicants seeking nomination for the Canadian PR to the immigration candidates in five categories.
Skills Immigration candidates received invitations in the categories for Skilled Workers, International Graduates and also at the Entry and Semi-Skilled Level. Their numbers were not specified. Moreover, the draw also invited candidates in the Express Entry and for Skilled Workers and International Graduates.
The Express Entry British Columbia categories cater to such candidates who have the profile in the Express Entry system (federal). It administers the pool of candidates for many immigration categories in Canada.
- Federal Skilled Trades Class
- Canadian Experience Class and finally
- Federal Skilled Worker Class,
The successful candidates getting the nomination receive 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
Additionally, the processing of Skills Immigration candidates receiving the nomination will happen outside the federal Express Entry
Foreign nationals for these streams have to initially register a profile (online) with the BC PNP
register using the Skills Immigration Registration System. Additionally, this is a system based on points used by the Province for evaluating all the candidates on factors like work experience, education, and language proficiency.
There are better chances when candidates have an indeterminate, job offer full-time with a local provincial employer in the Skills Immigration as well as in Express Entry categories.
