A sum of 70 invitations was announced below the British Columbia PNP’s Tech Pilot to International Graduates, and Skilled Workers with employment offers in one of its 29 qualified tech professions. The minimum required score was 90, and this is the cut-off score for each category.

Launched in 2017, the BC Tech Pilot reacts to labor shortages in British Columbia’s technology sector. Since January 2019, a sum of 848 invitations has been announced to qualified candidates by the BC Tech Pilot.

British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot appellants are not required to prove an indeterminate, full-time employment offer, a condition that applies to many other British Columbia PNP categories of immigration. Instead, applicants must have an employment offer that is for minimum one year in duration and also have minimum120 calendar days remaining at the time of appealing for a nomination from the British Columbia province.

The other 28 invitations were announced to the appellants in the Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot Stream and Base Category Stream.

In the Category of Entrepreneur Immigration Base, 22 invitations were issued to applicants with a minimum score of 114. The Entrepreneur Base Category is for either business owners or senior managers who intend to invest in a business in B.C. province and to manage it on a day-to-day basis actively.

The other six invitations were announced to applicants with minimum score 111 by the Entrepreneur Immigration- Stream Regional Pilot, which is intended to bring new businesses to the regional and smaller communities in British Columbia.
