British Columbia immigration held a draw in its Entrepreneur category.  After a decline in five consecutive draws, there was an increase of three points in the minimum score. It was 109 in the May 7 draw and issued 20 invitations using the BC PNP. This was the fourth draw for Entrepreneur IN 2019, and now the total stands at 81 invitations.

Essential Requirements for Entrepreneurs

Business candidates in the BC immigration category have to meet these criteria:

  • A personal net worth of $800,000;
  • Personally  investing $400 000 for establishing or purchasing /expanding an eligible business in the province;
  • Creating 3 jobs for citizens/PRs in Canada;
  • Participating in managing the business;
  • Signing an agreement with the province before nomination;
  • Candidates in the Entrepreneur category earn a right to sponsor the main staff member to get PR in Canada.

Qualifying For the Regional Entrepreneur Category

These are the criteria Business candidates in this category:

  • A personal net worth of $400,000;
  • Personally investing $200,000 for establishing or purchasing /expanding an eligible business in the province outside the metropolitan area Vancouver and the metropolitan area of Abbotsford;
  • Participating in managing the business;
  • Signing an agreement with the province before nomination;

On May 7, BC immigration also held a general draw and issued 187 ITAs in five Provincial streams.

There was no change in the Minimum scores in comparison to the previous draw held two weeks ago.

The required score was 95 points for direct provincial workers (skilled) and 105 points for EE skilled workers.

For the International graduates in direct provincial and EE streams also it was 105 points.

Additionally, for the entry-level/semi-skilled workers, it was 75 points.

Provincial nomination guarantees the selection in the EE   System, and also adds 600 points in CRS.

The Program moreover, publishes the scores which the immigrants have to get for a guaranteed invitation in its programs.

There is a norm 30 points reduction for an international graduate below the skilled workers in the Canadian

Express Entry and also in the various provincial streams.

It is also low for semi-skilled/entry-level workers.
