The immigration authorities in Canada conducted the second Express Entry draw for the year and 109th Express Entry Draw overall on Jan 23rd. 3,900 candidates received the Invitations in all programs. Moreover, there was a decline in the minimum CRS score by six points and it was standing at 443. IRCC issued 3,900 ITAs in nine draws consecutively, which is a record. It also has issued 7,800 ITAs in 2019.
Canada has an intake target of 81,400 in high-skilled immigration for 2019.
The 109th Express Entry started on January 1, 2015, manages the pool and also selects immigration candidates for these Federal High Skilled immigration categories
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Worker Class,
- Federal Skilled Trades Class
- Parts of the Provincial Nomination Programs.
There is a hope among the Stakeholders that there will be 30 draws during the present year. In this year around 80,000 candidates will receive the invitations. Also, the draws will feature a CRS score below 450 so that the immigration authorities can meet the annual targets in immigration for 2019.
Thus, there is a need for qualified candidates to reach Canada this year. Many applicants aiming to receive the ITAs in 2019 will need the CRS score below 450 points. They can also obtain the permanent admission without a job offer or nomination in the provincial immigration programs.
